« The place we grow up are changing so quickly in the past decade. Under the shadow of skycapper buildings, we feel small and timid like the ants one behind another’s back working for food. This provokes a dimension of dreamy reality of our childhood that is faraway.

This installation was inspired by Quynh Chu’s 2016 “Dyeing” about the chaos of social clan when their social order got challenged. The “Reminiscence of Hallucination” 2018 was born with much more inspiration in the context of a group. From Xuan Lam - the love of nature’s formation. From Viet Anh, it is his memories of childhood. “reminiscence of hallucination” is a retouch of a dreamy peculiar world of small children born in early 90s. »

Quynh Chu and Viet Anh are members of Hanoi Art 21, a Hanoi-based art group that I've been a member on since 2014. For our 2nd group exhibtion "DIMENSIONS", besides our personal works we decided to make an collaboration installation that reflects our personality and childhood memories.
